Friend of Document Scotland Colin Templeton has a photography show beginning this week, and we hope you can show support for it, and pay it a visit during it’s duration of 2nd -25th February, at the Glasgow Art Club, 185 Bath Street, Glasgow. More information can be found on the Glasgow Art Club website. You can also contact Colin on Twitter.

“The exhibition is about my passion for Glasgow, especially its lesser-explored nooks and corners, and the way in which the people fit in with the city. The project began after I joined the Blipfoto website. This encouraged me to go out and shoot a photograph every day. I quickly found this to be addictive, and a style of image began to emerge. I found myself documenting the city. I’ve always thought that photography mattered – I think that anyone who picks up a camera is bearing witness to their times.

I work full-time as a photographer for the Herald/Sunday Herald/Evening Times and, as much as I love my job, I found it strangely liberating to be out taking a daily photograph, just for fun, with no pressure to conform to any kind of brief. The exhibition represents a distillation of the images I shot over the course of 2012.” – Colin Templeton.
